WARRIORS MOVING ON

WARRIORS MOVING ON

Mike Stackhouse

Defenseman Evan Werle tallied three goals and Nick Carlson scored twice as the Langenburg Warriors downed the Wapella Blackhawks 6-1 on Friday night to sweep their best of three series and advance to the South Division finals.

Keegan Johnson also scored for Langenburg with Riley Holloway accounting for the long Blackhawks goal.  Langenburg led 3-1 after one and 4-1 at the end of two.

They will face the winner of the Churchbridge-Rocanville series in the next round.  The Tigers lead that 1-0 and can win the series with a victory tonight in Churchbridge.  Game time is 8pm.

Meanwhile, Canora doubled Cote 6-3 on Thursday to win their series in two straight games.  They'll take on the winner of Theodore-Swan Valley in the North Division final.  The Axemen are up 1-0 in that series and can close it out on Monday afternoon at 3pm in Minitonas.
