Tony Roebuck converted a Keenan Taphorn pass on a 2-on-1 fast break midway through the third period and that snapped a 2-2 tie sending the Theodore Buffalos to a 3-2 win over the Rocanville Tigers on Friday night, giving the Buffs a 2-1 series lead in the best of five with game four in Theodore tomorrow night.
All three games have been decided by one goal and all three games have seen the road team pull out the win.
Warren Shymko was the difference in this game, making 28-saves, including a game stopper with under two to go from point blank range on Eli Halcrow.
Theodore led 2-0 after two, but Rocanville scored twice in the first two minutes of the third to even it up. Brett Hope connected on the powerplay as he let a point shot go that found room under Shymko after it eluded plenty of traffic in front of the net. Then Ryan Regel showed determination on an individual effort to walk in and beat Shymko.
Theodore scored first on a Dylan Johnson first period goal and then it was followed by a rifle of a shot by Taphorn in the second.
In the event the road team wins for the fourth time in the series, Rocanville would host a fifth and deciding game on Sunday at 3pm.
