Dylan Johnson's goal in overtime gave the Theodore Buffalos a 5-4 win over the hometown Swan Valley Axemen on Saturday night and a 3-games-to-1 win in the best of five series, setting up yet another league championship final against the Rocanville Tigers.
The Buffs led 1-0 until the Axemen connected for two powerplay goals in the second, just sixteen seconds apart courtesy of Brock Jersak and Josh Tripp.
Colby Vranai, with his first of two, tied the game up and it was 3-3 after forty minutes as Ryan Bettesworth also scored for the Valley.
Kaeden Taphorn put Theodore ahead early in the third, but Carter Cockburn tied it at the midway point and that is how the score stayed until Johnson's heroics.
It's likely the Tigers and Buffs will each have a home game next weekend, but the official schedule is yet to be determined as of Sunday morning.
