Saturday night marks, perhaps, the most competitive night on the schedule this season as the South Division leading Rocanville Tigers travel to Canora to face the North Division leading Cobras.
The Tigers come into the game with a perfect 8-and-0 ledger and are coming off a 23-0 beating of the Preeceville Pats on Friday night. Massen Ziola and Taylor Thompson both had five goals in that contest while Landyn Cochrane added two goals and seven assists.
The Cobras have won their last six games, are 7-and-1 overall, and delivered a 15-2 drubbing over the Cote Selects Friday night with Scott Mickoski scoring four and setting up four others. Kody Rock had two goals and four helpers.
In Langenburg, the 5-and-4 Warriors will play host to the 5-and-3 Swan Valley Axemen. Langenburg will be looking to solidify their hold on second place in the South while the Axemen are part of a North Division logjam that has them at 10 points, tied with Theodore for third, just two points back of second place Cote and four points behind Canora.
Wapella plays host to Churchbridge with the Imperials looking to win and get to within one point of the Blackhawks for third in the South. The Imperials are 2-and-6, while the Hawks are 3-3-and-1. A Wapella win coupled with a Langenburg loss would narrow the gap between the Warriors and Hawks to one point in the race for second.
