WEEKEND ROUND UP

WEEKEND ROUND UP

In the first game of unbeaten teams on Friday night, the Theodore Buffalos went on the road and downed the Rocanville Tigers 7-4, but the Tigers did rebound for a 13-3 win over Ituna one night later.

On Friday, Dylan Johnson, Keanan Sperling, and Kevin Stringfellow scored third period goals to break open a close 3-2 game.  Logan Calanchie, Kurtis Decker, Josh Herman, and Scott Woytas rounded out the scoring for the Buffs, who improve to 2-and-0.

Jacob Tibbatts, Brad Third, Dakota Odgers, and Dillan Reavie scored for Rocanville.

Warren Shymko outdueled Dakota Berezowski in net.

On Saturday, three goals in a five minute span late in the second put the game out of reach as the Tigers increased a 4-1 lead to 7-1 on their way to victory but the real story was Dawson Springer.

Springer tallied a league single game record six goals and finished with eight points.  Ryan Regel added a goal and five assists while Odgers produced a hat trick and four points.

Dylan Haney added two with Tibbatts also hitting the score sheet.

Mike Bzdel had two and Keelan Saworski one for Ituna, who drop to 0-and-4 and are still a couple of weeks away from their home opener.
