Hat tricks from Noah Lemoine and Dawson Springer propelled the Rocanville Tigers to a dominating 14-3 win over the Ituna Avalanche on Saturday night as the Tigers joined the Canora Cobras atop the standings with a 2-and-0 record.
It was actually a 3-2 game early in the second when the Tigers embarked on a four goal barrage to end the period and then increased the lead to 11-2 midway through the third.
Dylan Haney led all players offensively with six points (1-5-6). Jacob Tibbatts picked up a pair and finished with four points. Zach Halvorson, DIllan Reavie, Dylan Baer, Randy Stowe, and Brad Third rounded out the scoring for the Tigers.
Dustin Renkas had a goal and an assist for the Avs with Colby Virostek and Keelan Saworski also scoring once.
Next weekend, the Cobras and Orioles renew acquaintences after Canora emerged 11-3 winners in Whitewood on Friday. This game will take place in Canora.
On Sunday, the Theodore Buffalos will play their first game of the year as they meet the 0-and-2 Avalanche.
Rocanville and Canora don't play each other until December 11th (in Canora).
