For the first time this season, the Theodore Buffalos have lost to an SEHL opponent.
The Whitewood Orioles forced a fourth game in their best of five semi-final by defeating the Buffs 5-3 on Sunday night, in Theodore.
The Orioles came out with plenty of jump and spotted themselves to a 2-0 lead after one on goals by Trey Bear and Caine Thomson.
Jordan Evans got one back early in the second, but Jonas Thomson restored the two goal lead before the end of the period.
Dalane Lamb narrowed the gap to 3-2 early in the third and it stayed that way until Trey Bear's second was scored into an empty net. Mike Rogoschewsky provided brief hope with thirty seconds to go but Caine Thomson's second was also the second empty netter and that sets the stage for the Orioles to host game four.
Officially, no date has been set for game four.
The Rocanville Tigers await the winner of the series.
