The Rocanville Tigers pushed the Canora Cobras to the brink of elimination with a 6-2 win, on the road, Saturday night to take a 2-0 lead in the best of five.
The Tigers broke open a 2-2 game early in the third with Ryan Regel's first of two. Dawson Springer got the back breaking goal with a top shelf shot off a face off and then Dakota Odgers and Regel finished off the scoring.
The Tigers led 2-0 after one on goals from Ashley Howie and Tony Kinistino. The Cobras tied it with Ryley Stefanyshyn's redirect off Lee Janett's point shot and then Carson Dennis' point shot knotted it up.
Carter Olson made 31-saves in the Tiger net and Rocanville can wrap it up and advance to the league final with a win next weekend.
Meanwhile, Theodore built up a 5-0 lead after two and settled on a 6-3 win over the Whitewood Orioles in game one of their best of five.
Mackenzie Flett had a goal and two assists while Dan Wilson picked up two goals. Kevin Stringfellow, Jordan Evans, and Dalane Lamb rounded out the scoring for the Buffs.
Sterling Bear scored two goals and Ellis Bachelu one for Whitewood, who will host game two next Friday.
